ACCEPTED: Plain Paper Bags & Boxes
Place gift bags and boxes made from plain paper or glossy paper (like a magazine) in a curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container.
- Empty, clean, and dry paper items only
- Remove and discard any non-paper parts, such as ribbon, plastic handles, or tags
- Break apart and flatten boxes
- Keep items loose and do not bag
NOT ACCEPTED: Items with Metallics or Glitter
DO NOT place gift bags or boxes that have shiny foil, metallic decorations, or glitter in a City of Omaha curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container. Place this item in the garbage if it cannot be reused.
