Omaha Recycling Guide
Industrial Adhesive Containers
Not Accepted, Alternative Options Available
DO NOT place containers that held industrial adhesives like caulk, epoxy, or sealers in a City of Omaha curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container. Containers with contents still inside require special handling.
If you have product leftover, the best option is to use up the material for its intended purpose. Once solid, unusable glues and adhesives may go to the landfill. Dry out the liquid product before placing the container in the garbage.
WHEN TO USE CAUTION: Containers with leftover contents that are labeled toxic or flammable are considered household hazardous waste and require special handling. Take these to the City's special waste facility, UnderTheSink.
