Omaha Recycling Guide
Pill Bottles
Accepted in City of Omaha Recycling
Place EMPTY plastic pill bottles in a curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container.
- Rinse if necessary to remove contents
- Labels, lids, and caps can stay on (black out personal information with a permanent marker)
- Keep items loose and do not bag
Tip: Plastic bottles shorter than 3" (or the palm of your hand) should be placed inside a larger plastic container of the same number. (For example: A small #5 bottle can fit inside a larger #5 bottle that you plan to recycle.)
