DO NOT place this item in a City of Omaha curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container.
Metal items such as auto parts, old gutters, swing set parts, metal conduit, or wire should be reused, scrapped, or placed in the garbage.
Smaller items can be placed in a black-lid waste cart. Larger, bulky items can be taken to River City Recycling & Transfer Station, 6404 South 60th Street (60th & Harrison Streets). There may be a fee for processing certain items. Call (402) 731-0414 or find more information at this link:

Some local scrap or metal recycling facilities will accept bulky metal items. Look up a scrap metal recycling facility near you to find out what items they accept. Some scrap recyclers will pay for materials by weight, and in other instances, fees may apply depending on material type.
Tip: Always call ahead to confirm if your item can be accepted.
